About the project
To complement the cultural offer of the City of Books, the creation of the Museum of Writing and the Book was proposed. It included a permanent exhibition on the history of the written word, the main vehicle of expression and communication of humans through time, and how information and communication technologies are revolutionizing our approach to literature, information, and knowledge.
The museographic project contemplated a space of attraction for all types of public that, in a dynamic, playful and interactive way, offer an overview of the history of writing and books. For the formulation of the philosophy of content, a collegial body formed by specialists in linguistics and philology was integrated.
The architectural project considered the installation of the exhibition in the large hall of 600 square meters, including the use of its great height to provide mezzanines, communicated by ramps and bridges, both to increase the exhibition area by 300 square meters, as well as to create a spectacular museographic area of great wealth and spatial variety.
